Whittonstall Community Band are thrilled to announce that with the support of the Tyne & Wear Community Foundation we have been able to secure funding for a second year. We have been awarded a grant of £1895 which will help towards the cost of
Receiving this funding really helps as we can concentrate on making music together rather than spending a lot of time organising fundraising events. In just one year we have grown from nothing to having a band membership of about 35 players aged from 9 to 75 years and from very new players to experienced players. We play a complete mixture of popular music and welcome all instruments from brass, wind, string to percussion.

- fantastic music stand banners for when we perform
- an adult "have a go" music event to encourage adults to learn a new instrument
